My introduction to my first APA Convention was to present on a Division 44 panel. To my delight I was welcomed as a newcomer, taken by the hand, and introduced to fellow Division members. I felt embraced by the safe, comfortable and festive space the Division provides, and that has inspired me to be more involved and committed to the Division's goals.
