More than any other division, Division 44 has provided a home for us in APA. Because of its existence we have developed major policy initiatives that have continued to defend the rights of lesbian, gay, and bisexual psychologists and those they serve in the field of psychology.

Kris Hancock

The American Psychological Association's Division 44 is psychology's focal point for research, practice, and education on the lives and realities of LGBT people. The president's theme for the Division this year is "Psychological Science Serves: Making LGBT Research Relevant".
