Executive Committee
Officers
The Executive Committee is composed of the President, President-Elect, Past President, Treasurer, three Council Representatives, and three Members-at-large.

- APA Council Representatives - Robin Buhrke, Terry Gock, Sari Dworkin
- Members-at-large - Beth Firestein, Steven David, Arlene Noriega
Members-at-large are representatives from the membership to the Executive Committee. Additionally, Members-at-large generally take a leadership role in a particular area within the EC.
The appointed Committee and Task Force Chairs also play an important role in decision making and are encouraged to attend all EC meetings.
Mission
The Executive Committee (EC) is the Division's governing body and is charged with developing the mission and goals of the Division and facilitating implementation.
Activities
The EC holds face to face meetings during the annual APA convention and convenes again mid-winter. Midwinter meetings are often held in conjunction with other Division sponsored events like the biannual Multicultural Summit. Between its face-to-face meetings, the EC communicates via conference call and email on an as needed basis. EC members also monitor a listserve reserved for this purpose.
What You Can Do
- Communicate your concerns and ideas to members of the EC
- Volunteer to run for an elected office. Each fall the past president is responsible for facilitating the development of slates of nominees for open positions on the EC. If you are interested in participating in the leadership of the division, please contact the past president.
- Volunteer to serve as a committee or task force chair. The president is responsible for making these appointments. The division frequently has opportunities. If you are interested in contributing, please contact the president!
